Such a dear sweet lady. We shared many years of exchanging messages and stories about our shared Irish Hastings ancestry going back all the way to County Mayo. Deeply miss the kindnesses and humor shown in her missives as I felt a deep bond with her even though we never met in person. Part of the reason may be that my mom and Muriel shared the same name. My condolences to all the family. She was a gem among gems.

Muriel was such a special person…always positive, sweet and encouraging. She often took the time to send an email to thank the Edgewater Board for their work. I enjoyed visiting with her, and so glad I got to know her.
Lisa, Mike, Eryn and Peterson family......Your mom was such a special person. I'm so happy I was able to spend some time with her and go to, the blue service at church. We shared something that night, our Grief. We Lit a candle for our husbands that night. I am also glad I was able to give you one more hug and hear you say, you Love me... I will cherish that always. Heaven gained an amazing angel!! Until we meet again dear friend!!

Your mom was such a sweetheart. She lived next door to my mom, Lillian Havenga, for many years. She and my mom shared so many cups of coffee, laughs and memories at Edgewater. Muruiel was a self-evident stellar soul. Always kind to us, too. Her dedication to Fred while he was at Heartwood Lodge inspired us so. Will miss this lady as a friend. You children were so blessed with her as your beacon. Hugs and love to all of you...
