Myra Lee Art's Obituary
Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Myra Lee Art, age 83, passed away on February 10, 2026, in Ravenna, Michigan. Myra was born to Clare and Dorothy (Ervin) Ellis on May 22, 1942, in Marlette, Michigan. She graduated from Ravenna High School and went on to work at Howmet. In 1994, she married her beloved husband, Robert.
Myra was a member of the Fremont Harley Davidson Hog Chapter, where she raised money for the American Cancer Society as a part of the Ladies of Harley. Myra was an organized and well-put-together woman who loved to ride her bike and travel. Myra and Bob made many trips to Sturgis and Daytona together on their bikes throughout the years. Myra truly lived a fun and memorable life and will live in our hearts forever.
Myra will be dearly missed by her children, Dennis Sanders, Shelley VandenBosch, Ryan (Heather) Art, Christine (Eric) Nichols; grandchildren, Jamie, Jen, Julie, Scott, Desaray, Craig, Brandee, Dylan, Gavin, and Grace; many great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild on the way that she was excited to meet.
Myra is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Art, and children, Scott VandenBosch and Craig VandenBosch and first husband, Gary VandenBosch.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Egelston Township Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ravenna Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 3570 Thomas St., Ravenna, MI 49451. Share memories with the family at https://sytsemafh.com.
