Myrtle Jane Slater's Obituary
Myrtle Jane Slater age 90, of Florida formally of Muskegon, MI. died August 4, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Myrtle was born on July 28, 1927 in Grand Rapids, MI to the late Howard and Leota (Tryon) Myers. She married Orval Slater on August 24, 1946 in Grand Rapids, MI. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1997.
Myrtle is survived by 2 Daughters: Sandra Chartrand of Leesburg, FL. and Karen (John) Sprague of Ft. Myers, FL. Daughter in-law: Tammy Slater of Muskegon, 6 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. 1 Brother: James (Mary) Myers of Rockford, MI and 2 Sisters: Wanetta Slater and Patricia (Terry) Miller both of Grand Rapids.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, husband Orval, Son: Charles and Sisters: Arlene Canfield, Betty Blakeslee, Alice Hoffman, Joyce Malinowski.
Funeral Services for Myrtle will be conducted on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at 2:00pm at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna with Pastor Jeff Gunderman officiating. Burial will be on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 10:00am at the Egelston Township Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home on Sunday to greet friends 1 hour prior to the funeral service.
