Nadeen C. Sholler's Obituary
Mrs. Nadeen Clare Sholler, age 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in Westland, MI. She was born on December 8, 1949 in Muskegon to Louis and Genevieve (Vos) Wirtz. Nadeen attended Muskegon High School and earned her associate degree from Muskegon Community College. She moved to the East side of the state and started working at the Detroit Medical Center, supporting hospital computer systems. While there, she met David Sholler, and the two were married on December 7, 1988. They spent 31 wonderful years together and raised their son, Joshua, before David passed away from COVID-19 on March 30, 2020. Nadeen loved coming back to West Michigan to see her family and made sure to start and end each trip with a visit to Lake Michigan at Pere Marquette Beach. She was proud of being a first chair violinist and one of the first campers to attend Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. Nadeen enjoyed making creative pieces of art such as bracelets, clay ornaments, and beautiful paintings. Nadeen was an avid sci-fi reader and could often be found cheering on Michigan State, especially when Joshua was a member of the Spartan Marching Band. She loved lighthouses, and even lived in one for a time in Whitehall, MI. Nadeen had a kind, compassionate heart and will be remembered by her friends and family as one of the strongest and most courageous women they knew. She is survived by her son, Joshua Sholler; brother, Greg (Kay) Wirtz; nieces, Kris (Jon) Gale and their children, Lauren and Emily, and Lori (Bryan) Rypstra and their children, Samantha and Caleb. Along with her husband, David, Nadeen was also preceded in death by her parents. A funeral service will be held at 12:00PM, Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 11:00AM-12:00PM. The family asks that masks or facial coverings be worn inside at all times.
