Mrs. Nancy Marie Bailey's Obituary
Mrs. Nancy Marie Bailey, age 74, passed away Monday morning July 21, 2014. She was born June 4, 1940 in Muskegon to Joseph and Dorothy (White) Karafa. Nancy graduated from North Muskegon High School. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 8846 Ladies Auxiliary. Nancy is retired from Office Machines Co., Inc. after working there for 31 years. The loves of her life were her grandchildren and working in her yard. On November 8, 1968 she married Gary L. Bailey in Muskegon and he survives her along with four children: Pamela Hulbert, Beverly Hulbert both of Muskegon, Suzanna (Gary) VanderPool of Morley, MI, James (Robyne) Bailey of Grand Rapids, MI; one step-daughter: Roberta (Ron) Clocker of West Virginia; grandchildren: Jacob (Bri) of Florida, Joshua (Ashley) and Jenna Bailey both of Grand Rapids, and Taylor (Nikkie) Moore of Morley; one special great-niece (considered a granddaughter) Arynn Curtis of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania; two great-grandchildren; eight step- grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; brother: Thomas (Shirley) Karafa of Muskegon; two sisters: Janet Larson of Indian River Michigan, Kathy Curtis of Muskegon; many nieces and nephews; special sister-in-law, Bonnie and special friend, Marva. She was preceded in death by two brothers William Joseph and Timothy Richard Karafa. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11 AM Saturday, July 26, 2014 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100. VISITATION with the family will be from 5 to 8 PM Friday evening. MEMORIAL: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mercy VNS and Hospice.
