It was my privilege to work with Nancy when she was volunteering at the Hackly/Hume houses. She had been a valued volunteer for a number of years before I joined the staff and taught me a lot of the history of the houses and the Hackley Historic Association, which had saved the houses before the museum acquired them. Nancy was an outstanding guide and Guild Board member for the Hackley & Hume Historic site. She enjoyed the historic houses and the people she met as she did tours. She was a lovely lady and I'll always remember her driving up in her snazzy PT Cruiser. Dawn Willi

Lynn, you are always in my heart but during this time more than ever! Lisa Sizemore
We are so sorry for your loss. I remember your mom very fondly. She use to put up with all the neighborhood kids playing in your yard. I remember Rita and I would swing on your swing set for hours on end. You guys were the only ones who were lucky enough to have a swing set! Our sympathies to all the Buter clan. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Hi Buter kids:You have our deepest sympathies in the passing of your mother.Howard and I go back a long way with your Mother and Dad.Back in nurses training, Les and Howard drove past the nurse's dorm after "hanging out"at Sytsemas and Nancy and I waved out the window every night. Then the 2 guys went to Marilyn Dairy!! We double dated a lot and were in each other's weddings.IN 0ur archives at least one picture of your dad walking along the beach with Randy tagging along behind with his diaper hanging! So cute! We lost track of each other after that except for our annual class reunion or Hackley Alumnae Banquet. What a surprise when I found out that Nancy's youngest son and my oldest son had become good friends because they lived near eachother and sometimes attended the same church (Elbridge Community) If we weren't In Florida we would be there telling you more stories of when we were young. God Bless all of you. Know that we are praying for all of you!! We know you had some difficult times in your lives-but God is faithful Love, Betty Guikema Vanderlaan and Howard Vanderlaan
I was so sorry to hear about Nancy's passing. I really got to know her when she volunteered at the hospital. She was a wonderful person. My prayers are with all of you.
