Nancy B. Buter Yonkers' Obituary
Mrs. Nancy B. Buter Yonkers, age 80, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 in Muskegon. She was born on September 23, 1933 in Muskegon to William and Madalene (Brooks) Sanders, and resided in the area all of her life. Nancy was a Registered Nurse for many years until her retirement in 1983. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and volunteered for the Hackley Hume Historic Association. Nancy enjoyed reading, the beach, traveling, antiques, crocheting and knitting. SURVIVORS include 6 children, Randy (Cheryl) Buter of Muskegon, Greg (Carolbeth) Buter of Muskegon, Jeff Buter of Hart, MI, Darla (Danny Goetsch) Gallegos of Muskegon, Cyndi Zeanwick of Muskegon and Lynn (Steve) Brock of Muskegon; 16 grandchildren; 11½ great grandchildren; and brother, William (Sharon) Sanders of Muskegon. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Lester Buter; and second husband, Harold Yonkers. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be 2PM Saturday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with Pastor Dennis Hintz officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 1-2 PM. Burial will take place in Mona View Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to Mercy VNS Hospice will be appreciated.
