Dr. Nancy L. Cadena's Obituary
Dr. Nancy Lee Cadena OB/GYN, age 49, passed away Wednesday, June 21 in Grand Rapids. Nancy was born on September 28, 1967 to William and Diana (Focht) Harris in Chicago, IL. She earned her Doctorate of Medicine and worked for Mercy Hospitals in a number of practices after moving back to the area in 2005. Nancy was very passionate about her work and cherished taking care of and helping her patients. She was known for her love of her dog, Belle; and her extensive Snoopy collection. Nancy was very family oriented, always spending time with her kids and especially loving on her only grandchild. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Kassandra (Nathaniel) Ebeling; twin sons, Nicholas and David Cadena; grandson, Gavin; mother, Diana; sister, Janet (Mark) McLavy; nieces and nephews, Kirsten, Kristina and Grace, Fabian and Sabrina, Daniel, Valeria and Ricky; and the father of her children, Dave. Nancy is preceded in death by her father, William. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24 from 1-4 pm at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S Harvey St. (231) 798-1100.
