Nancy C. (Marks) Cuddohy's Obituary
Nancy C. (Marks) Cuddohy, age 74, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 at her home following a brief illness. She was born March 23, 1945 in Muskegon to Michael and Augusta (Daszko) Marks and was a lifelong resident. Nancy was a graduate of Muskegon High School Class of 1964. On August 13, 1966, she married Michael J. Cuddohy at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Muskegon. Nancy worked for 29 years in the credit department at Sears, Roebuck & Co., and retired in 1998. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church where she volunteered with the Ladies Guild. Nancy also volunteered her time at Mercy Hospital in the gift shop and the education department. Nancy enjoyed helping others and always did what was right and good. She was always selfless and kind – the world needs more caring people like Nancy. Although we didn’t deserve her, we thank the Lord for the time he let us have with her. Nancy was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Survivors include her loving husband, Mike Cuddohy; her 2 sons, Jerry and David Cuddohy; and her brother-in-law, Pat Cuddohy. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, Jerry Marks and 1 sister, Betty Ulfsax. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, January 24, 2020 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (2929 McCracken St.) with Rev. Charles D. Hall presiding. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass, 10-11 AM Friday at church. Entombment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Harbor Hospice Foundation or St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church “Completing the Vision” Building Campaign.
