Nancy Jean Drelles' Obituary
On Wednesday, July 7, 2021, Nancy Drelles, loving wife and mother of five children, passed away at the age of 88. Nancy was born on January 11, 1933, in Muskegon, MI to Gunnard and Meredith Johnson. On April 4th, 1953, she married Leo Drelles. Together, they raised two daughters, Debbie and Monique, and three sons, Steve, Paul and Bryan. Nancy, also known as Nan by friends and family, was passionate about spending time with her family and traveling whenever possible to see them. She and her husband Leo enjoyed going on long country drives. Both shared a love of opera, especially Pavarotti. She filled her home with her husband Leo’s many paintings, as he was a prolific artist. Nancy also spent twenty of her later years working for ACME Cleaners, a family business, where she enjoyed working with co-workers and customers alike. She was a kind and compassionate woman also known for her great sense of humor and infectious laughter. Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Gunnard, her mother, Meredith, her husband, Leo, her brother, Sonny, her grandson, Lee and her son-in-law, Rick. She is survived by her five children, Debbie, Steve, Paul, Monique and Bryan and six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
