I will never forget the moment when I first met Nancy at Muskegon airport in late July 1979. She picked me up with a green Ford Station Wagon as big a car as I had never seen one in my life! Arriving from Germany as an exchange student a whole new life began for me in Nancy's family that very moment. She adopted me and gave me the love and guidance I needed. I will never forget her and I am very sad that I did not get a chance to say good-bye to her!
