Nancy J. Kalfsbeek's Obituary
Nancy was born in Berea, Kentucky on September 16, 1936 to Mary and Herschel Hull. She is survived by her daughter Charlyne Parker, son-in-law Michael, grandchildren Willie, Anna, Joe, Jayme, Rachel, Kendra, Jenna, Andrea and Edward, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd, parents Mary and Herschel, and children Don, Wayne, and Lynn. The family extends special thanks to loving caregivers Cheryl Villegas and Paula Tapanila. Nancy had a generous giving heart, volunteering at Red Cross for many years typing CPR and First Aid cards and helping with activities at Brookhaven, serving as librarian at Our Redeemer Lutheran School and helping in the library at West Shore Lutheran School and Tanglewood. She taught a senior water exercise class for Orchard View and was a preschool aide at Our Redeemer Lutheran School. She loved to read and play cards. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church for decades, transitioning to Trinity Lutheran when Our Redeemer closed. Nancy will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. followed by the service at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Lutheran Church Extension Fund.
