Nancy Kay Melcher's Obituary
Nancy Kay Melcher, age 88, of Grand Haven passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025, at MediLodge at the Shore in Grand Haven. She was born May 9, 1937, in Grand Haven, MI to Herbert and Louise “Della” (VerDuin) Brosseit, Sr. She married Lloyd John “Jack” Melcher on August 13, 1955, at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Nunica, MI. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2007.
Nancy’s father owned and operated Brosseit Paint & Decorating for many years, for whom she worked as a sales consultant. She was a very talented seamstress and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Nancy enjoyed music, her talents included playing piano, organ and accordion. She also had a love for doing puzzles, and for animals, especially dogs and cats.
She is lovingly remembered by three nieces: Michelle (Dave) Hecksel, Casey (Ryan) Soule, and Barrie Brosseit; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Monte Kline, her sister, Joyce LaBuda, and her brother, Herbert Brosseit, Jr.
