Nancy Mae Parker Switzer's Obituary
Nancy Mae Parker Switzer, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019. She was born on March 24, 1940 to LaVerne and Evelyn (Cripe) Parker in Alpine Twp. Nancy graduated from Alcona High School and worked for the State of Michigan as a Social Worker. She enjoyed dancing, feeding her birds, and watching “true crime” shows. Nancy also liked to crochet and sew and was a part of the Quilters Guild. Nancy is survived by her children, Deborah Joslin Taylor, Rene (Steve) Aebig and Brett (Hilary) Joslin; grandchildren, Jessica Taylor and Travis Taylor, Anthony (Amanda) Cooper, Courtney (Josh) Parmer and Craig (Kaylee) Petersen, and Kylie, Suzy and Dayna Joslin; great-grandchildren, Mataya, Maddox, Alexis, Nova and Avelyn Cooper; and sister, Billie Jo Gerred. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Mary Lee Olsen and Theodore “Ted” Walker. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 11AM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 49444, 231-798-1100. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, April 23 from 6-8PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Joey Hekkema Memorial at the Community Foundation (https://muskegonfoundation.org/funds/joey-hekkema-memorial/) in Nancy’s name.
