Nancy A. Rizzo's Obituary
Nancy A. Rizzo, of Fruitport, age 64, met her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 23, 2022. She was born on December 20, 1957 to Robert and Frances (Thomas) Latsch in Muskegon, MI. She was a graduate of Fruitport high school class of 1976. A few years later, she continued her education at Muskegon Community College, where she earned her associate's degree in nursing. Nancy was a compassionate and kind-hearted woman by nature and truly loved being a nurse. Dedicating more than 10 years working for Brookhaven Medical Care Facility, helping others was a perfect career path for Nancy. She was a faithful woman with a servant’s heart, and was a longtime member of the Kainay Community Church. Later in Nancy’s life, she endured several health issues, but that did not stop her from doing what she loved. She had a tender-heart when it came to animals and had an unconditional love for her fur babies. She enjoyed watching sports, traveling, listening to music and cooking. Nancy was a talented cook and will always be remembered for her homemade eggplant parmesan and fabulous pizza. She was also blessed with a green thumb when it came to gardening and flowers. Above all things, she loved spending time with her family at gatherings and having a goodtime with her dear friends. She was known to be able to make friends anywhere with her gift of gab and had such a welcoming personality. Nancy was known to be a jokester and could easily fill a room with laughter. Her vivacious and loving spirit will truly be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her 3 sons, Vincent Rizzo, Andrew Rizzo and Dominik (Emily) Rizzo; brother, James Latsch; step-brother, David Markgraf; fur babies, Jane, Bella and Ozzie; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; many aunts and uncles; and many, many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Markgraf; father, Robert Latsch; step-father, Richard Markgraf; and brother, David Latsch. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. A visitation with the family will be held one-hour prior at the funeral home. Nancy will be laid to rest at Pine Hill Cemetery in Fruitport, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Nancy’s honor can be made directly to the Muskegon Humane Society & Animal Rescue or The Noah Project.
