Mrs. Nancy Lea VanDyke's Obituary
Nancy Lea VanDyke, age 65, of Muskegon, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017. She was born on October 8, 1951 to Robert and Margie (Eley) Carney in Muskegon. She was raised by Margie and John Lamberger. Nancy married the love of her life, Joel, on November 1, 1985. She loved her family dearly, and cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren. Nancy had a love of traveling and camping with her family, friends, and Buster. She had a very important group of women, her “Secret Pals” whom she’d known her whole life and loved dearly. Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Joel VanDyke, children; Chuck (Shannon) DeLora, Jeff DeLora and Lisa (Matt) Grossenbacher, grandchildren; Hannah, Keeley, Hunter, Tucker, Fischer, Bo and Brynn. She is also survived by her mother, Margie, and her brothers; Bob (Barb) Carney and Dick Carney (Lynne). Nancy was preceded in death by her fathers and her brother, Fred Carney. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Fellowship Reformed Church, 4220 E. Apple Ave, 231-788-4783, with Reverend Mike VanKampen officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St, 231-798-1100. Memorial Contributions can be made to The University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center.
