Nancy Vangilder-Rafferty's Obituary
Mrs. Nancy Kay Vangilder-Rafferty, age 41, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 after a short illness. She was born to Wilma and Robert Vangilder on November 2, 1965 in Muskegon. Nancy graduated from Muskegon High School 1983. She was a CNA and a factory worker for many years. Nancy enjoyed camping, long walks on the beach, sunsets and music. She leaves behind the two loves of her life, her sons, Steven Rafferty of Muskegon and Tyler Rafferty – Stitt of Fremont, MI; her former husband, Steve Rafferty of Muskegon; her sister, Sue Vangilder of Florida; her brother, Robert (Maria) Vangilder, Jr. of California; her father, Robert Vangilder, Sr. of California; her nieces and nephews; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and two very special people in her life and her sons’ lives, Mark and Janet Stitt of Fremont, MI. She was preceded in death by her mother, Wilma Vangilder in March of 2007 and father-in-law, Roy Rafferty in February of 2008. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 3PM Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Christian Life Center (103 Connie, Fremont, MI) with Pastor Neil Tedford and Pastor Glenn Hinterman officiating.
