Nancy Lee Visser's Obituary
Nancy Lee Visser, age 80, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021. She was born November 14, 1940 in Muskegon to Andrew and Johanna (Broeks) Schrier. Nancy was a graduate of Muskegon High School and had worked for Lorin Industries as a shipping coordinator for 20 years prior to her retirement in 2001. On December 8, 1961, she married Arthur J. Visser in Muskegon. Nancy was a wonderful cook, enjoyed canning, shopping, people watching, and traveling the United States. She was a kind, sweet, and selfless person, who always had a smile on her face. But most importantly, she was a great wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. SURVIVORS include her husband, Arthur; son, John (Jackie Hoag) Visser of Conklin, MI; daughter, Sally Kidd of Las Vegas, NV; grandson, Caleb Kidd; sister, Bev (Bob) Kersting of Fruitport; 2 nieces: Beth Norwick and Kim Kersting. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Vicki Lynn Turner on May 15, 2011 and son-in-law, Steven Micheal Kidd on September 1, 2011. A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, October 2, 2021 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231) 798-1100. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in McNitt Cemetery.
