Nancy C. Voyt's Obituary
Mrs. Nancy Carmella Voyt was called to her Heavenly home on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the age of 89. She was born on July 16, 1933 to Dominic and Anna (Muscato) Cavalier in Muskegon. Nancy married the love of her life, Bob Voyt, on May 5, 1956 at the Log Chapel, University of Notre Dame where Bob attended. She attended Mt. Carmel Nursing School in Battle Creek where she became a Registered Nurse and enjoyed her work in the pediatric field. Nancy loved spending time with her family, friends, and neighbors. Her compassionate nature was well-known as she was always willing to help out and give her time to those in need. She had a strong love for the Lord – her deep trust and faith helped guide her throughout her life. Most of all, Nancy loved her family. Nancy and Bob could always be found at their kids and grandkids various sporting events, concerts, and school activities. She was always serving up delicious traditional Italian meals, loved to dote on her eleven grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as “Nana,” and enjoyed her evening rides with Bob. Nancy will be forever remembered by her husband of 66 years, Bob; children, Robert (Cheryl) Voyt Jr, Joan Keith, Joe (Deb) Voyt, Dave (Kathy) Voyt, and Mary (Chuck) Davis; grandchildren, Mike (Caitlin) Voyt, Rachel Voyt, Nicholas (Sarah) Voyt, Robert Keith, Michael (Lusia Zaleskaya) Voyt, Scott Voyt, Ben Voyt, Jaclyn Voyt, Julia Voyt, Janet Robbe, and Brent Davis; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and siblings, Mike (Darlene) Cavalier and Yolanda (Bert) Falzone. Along with her parents, Nancy was also preceded in death by her brother, Don Cavalier. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM, Friday, October 28 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church (1716 6th St., 49441). Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church, from 10:00 – 11:00AM. Entombment to take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to The Voyt Family Charity Fund held at the Catholic Foundation of West Michigan or Gracious Grounds of Grand Haven, MI.
