Mrs. Naomi P. Gerrans' Obituary
Naomi P. Gerrans, 92, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014 in Muskegon. She was born May 15, 1922 to Ervin and Neva (Peirce) Blackman in Muskegon, and lived all of her life in Muskegon and Bridgeton Twp. She worked at E. H. Sheldon, and in later years Quality Farm and Fleet. Mrs. Gerrans lived on the Muskegon River for 30 years. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, knitting, playing bingo and going to the casinos. She was a very independent woman. She was married to Josiah Gerrans, and he preceded her in death on November 4, 1975. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Dennis (Jean) Gerrans of Norton Shores, Gregory (Cheryl) Gerrans of Norton Shores, Cynthia Shinn of Spring Lake; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Theda West, and a son-in-law, Michael P. Shinn. The funeral service for Mrs. Gerrans will be 11:00 AM Thursday, December 18, at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
