Naomi Barcome Schaetz's Obituary
Mrs. Naomi Barcome Schaetz, age 77, passed away surrounded by her loving family early Monday, January 12, 2009 at the Poppen Residence of Harbor Hospice. She was born June 9, 1931 in Oconto Falls, WI to Earl and Eleanore (Neuman) Barcome. She married Kenneth R. Schaetz in Green Bay, WI, and he went ahead of Mom to be with our Lord on December 13, 1998. Naomi received her Bachelor of Art Degree from St. Louis University with a double-major in English and Music. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. SURVIVORS include 5 children and 8 grandchildren: Bob & Kathy Schaetz with their children, Jeff and Jenny; Keith & Wendy Schaetz with their daughters, Sara, Michelle and Amy; Naomi & Jon Malm with their sons, Alex and Charlie; Nadine & Lee Harris with their daughter, Rachel; and Mary Schaetz. Naomi Schaetz was an extraordinary woman of great faith that will be deeply missed. She touched our lives in countless ways and her life will continue to be an inspiration to all of us. May we follow her example to share love and laughter with those around us – for we have no doubt that she was truly a good and faithful servant. Private Family Services took place.
