Nathan Christopher Dykes' Obituary
Nathan Christopher Dykes, age 19, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024. He was born May 21, 2004 in Muskegon to Erik and Nancy (Murphy) Dykes and lived all of his life in the area. Nate attended Oakridge Public Schools and worked for his Uncle Roger’s construction business, RJM Remodel. He enjoyed mud running, fishing, bon fires, and golfing with his close friends Logan, Deegan, and Paul (Aydin). He also enjoyed lighting fireworks, water balloon fights, epic Nerf gun battles, and hanging out with his special cousins Derek, Angela, Seth, and Justin. He is survived by his loving parents, Erik and Nancy Dykes; his sister, Jenna (Morgun McLouth) Dykes; aunts and uncles, Raymond Dykes, Beckie (Tim) Hunter, Sheryl (Robert) George, Dale (Babs) Murphy, Mike (Diane) Murphy, Pamela (Harry) Davis, Roger (Janet) Murphy, Patricia Leeball, Gary (Sharon) Murphy, John Murphy; and many cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Bonnie Rollenhagen; Uncle Dennis Murphy; and Cousin Derek Murphy. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, May 11, 2024 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Egelston Township Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Western Michigan Adult & Teen Challenge.
