I had the pleasure of knowing Nathan from God's Special People's Camp. The last few years, the camp was at Bair Lake Bible Camp in Jones, MI. One of his favorites things to say was "in the lake". Him and I developed quite the game every year, where I'd say, "Nathan, what's that on your arm?" He'd look confused at his arm and then I'd say, "IN THE LAKE!" It didn't take long until it felt like we were competing to see who could out "in the lake" each other. He always won! I will miss him going out of his way to find me to poke my arm and tell me "in the lake", just as much as I will miss him playing air guitar when music was being played. He was such a great person to be around and I am grateful I got to share a few weeks over the years with him. Thank you to his family for allowing Nathan to come to camp all those years. I pray God continues to comfort and care for you during this time.
I got to know Nathan through the Friendship Ministry at Calvin Church over the past 10 years. It was shortly after I joined he had the bike accident. I remember his very positive attitude in coming back to our activities. His big smile was contagious. He played a killer "air guitar" during our theme song and it's just not the same anymore! He would help cook hot dogs, greet the attendees on Thursday evenings, and help serve the snacks. I cherish all my memories of Nathan.
Our condolences and Prayers to the family. Nathan was such a cool young man and a pleasure to be around. He always had a big smile and a hello to go along with it. Nathan will be missed.🎳
Nathan always greeted Tyler and myself as we entered Calvin CRC for friendship. He always had a different greeting every week.

Nathan will forever be in my heart! He was full of life and he made me laugh every time I was around him. He and Brent have been Missy’s closest friends for most of her life. I will miss hearing him in my backseat saying “Becki, can you hear me?” and watching him bowl and pose after each throw! So many memories and a life cut way too short! Give my mom a hug for me Nathan!
Nathan was always kind, sweet and inquisitive. He was a special part of my extended family, and I am heartbroken to have lost such a special soul so young.
So many memories of Nathan...where to begin. His smile and his sense of humor will be greatly missed! Our families have a lot of shared memories over the years and I feel blessed to have you in our lives...through the good and the bad. This is a hard one...please let us know how we can help you through this. Please let Brent know...he is not alone!
