Nellie L. Foreman's Obituary
Mrs. Nellie Leon Foreman, age 94, went to be with her Lord, Thursday evening, August 16, 2007, at a local nursing home. She was born September 27, 1912 to William and Laura Jane (Talburt) Ashcraft in Stroud, Oklahoma. On April 12, 1933, she married Alvie Everett Foreman in Seminole, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on September 18, 1970. Nellie was a former member of Sheridan Drive Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She later was a member of Orchard View Congregational Church. She sewed a lot, was a hard worker and an excellent cook. Nellie enjoyed rock hunting, finding money, bird watching and yodeling. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family. Nellie is survived by her 3 children, Betty M. (Charlie; deceased) Booher of Wolcotville, IN, Patsy J. (Bob) Halliwill of Charlotte, MI, and Mac (Diane) Foreman of Muskegon; 15 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren; 2 half-sisters, Lottie (John) Inman, and Georgia Ann (Fred) Smith, all of Depew, OK; 1 brother-in-law, Jim Foreman; 2 sisters-in-law, Goldie and Helen Steffen; numerous cousins and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alvie, her son, Jack Leon Foreman (survived by his wife, Sue (Carl) Steffen); 5 sisters, Ruby Totts, Ruth Butterfield, Opal Irwin, Willie Ridenour, and Jessie Meekins; 2 half-sisters, Alma June and Loejean and dear friend, Cliff Ketchum. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 2:00 PM Monday, August 20, 2007, at the
