Nellie S. Taylor's Obituary
Mrs. Nellie S. Taylor, age 101, passed away at Roosevelt Park Nursing Center, Monday evening, July12, 2010. She was born in Muskegon on December 21, 1908 to Johannas and Sena (Duiser) DeHorn and married Mr. Everett A. Taylor in Battle Creek on February 25, 1928. Nellie and Everett made their home in the then Norton Twp and together, previously owned and operated the Michigan Tile & Mosaic Co., the Tile Motel and the Park View Golf Course. Everett preceded her in death in 1985. Nellie was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards. She is survived by her: daughter, Connie A. Christiansen of Norton Shores; two sons, Charles E. Taylor of Fruitport and James L. (Sue) Taylor of Norton Shores; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her: parents; brother, John, sister, Mina and her daughter, Jean Hamilton in 2007.
