Great-Grandma Jane was a mystery to me for many years. Not that I didn't know her, or know about her, but I didn't know what she was about. She was about family. It wasn't about the flashing clock on the VCR or the cell phone that she couldn't program that made her call me. It was that she got to be with me. I'm not sure that I understood that until very recently, perhaps too late.
She was a pretty amazing person, knew alot about alot of things, had an opinion about everything, and wasn't afraid to tell you about either. And she didn't pull any punches.
All of that aside, my favorite memories of Grandma Jane will always be the summers Andy and I spent with her riding the trolley, playing in the park (when she'd let us), trying to learn to play poker, and that one time she let me drive her car (which was probably a bad idea). I used to think she'd out-live us all, but it turns out she didn't have to, because we'll always remember her.
I love you, Grandma. And if you're going to cheat at poker up there... at least try not to get caught.##imported-begin##Theresa Linstrom##imported-end##
