Mrs. Nevajane "Jane" Jewett's Obituary
Mrs. Nevajane “Jane” Jewett, age 85, passed away early Monday morning, January 10, 2022, in Muskegon. She was born March 16, 1936, to Clarence R. and Helen St. Clair (Burton) Taylor in Muskegon and was a lifelong resident. Jane worked at Brookhaven for 31 years before retiring in 1998. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, reading, spending time with friends and family, and collecting porcelain dolls and angels. On July 26, 1973, she married Clarence E. Jewett, and he preceded her in death on January 31, 1998. Survivors include her children: Bob Follett, Roseann (David) Brown, Clarence (Carol) Jewett, Jr., Tammy Duffman, John Jewett, Debbie Tadlock; several grand, great-grand, and great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by four daughters: Marijane Follett, Kathleen Follett, Artie Rose and Anna Waynick; siblings Nancy and Robert Grossman, Robert and Pat Taylor. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 14, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 1070 S. Quarterline Rd., Muskegon, 49442. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Jewett may be made to First Baptist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442.
