Nicholas J. Sidock's Obituary
Mr. Nicholas Jay Sidock, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 7, 2018. He was born June 25, 1953 to Joseph J. and Catherine A. Sidock in Muskegon and they preceded him in death along with his sister, Rose A. Sidock. He is survived by his children, Valerie Sidock and Jason (Stephanie) Sidock of Muskegon; siblings, Robert (Barbara) Sidock of Muskegon, Laura (Clifford) Boone of Lusby, MD, Lea Huls of Wyoming, MI, and Anthony Sidock of Muskegon; niece, Stacey (daughter, Alexia) Sidock; nephews, Peter Sidock, Paul Sidock, Jonathan Huls, Michael Huls, Steve Small; and many aunts, uncles, great-nieces and cousins. Born and raised in Muskegon, Nic graduated from Muskegon High School in 1972 and from Muskegon Community College and was a member of Shores Community Church. He worked as a printer for the Mona Shores School System and a movie projectionist for Jack Loeks Theaters. Nic enjoyed collecting stamps and coins; collecting movies, and taking photographs. He liked going for rides down to by the lake to watch the boats, ships and sailboats. Nick was very friendly and known for his talkative manner. He could strike up a conversation about anything with any stranger. Nic had gastric bypass surgery and was looking forward to getting a 21 speed bike and a kayak so he could be back out on the lake that he loved. He will be dearly missed by Jason and Stephanie and dog, Cholo. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Shores Community Church (3800 Lake Harbor Rd,. 49441).
