Nicole S. "Nikki" Gunter's Obituary
Nicole S. “Nikki” Gunter, age 41, passed away early Thursday morning, May 28, 2020, after courageously battling cancer. She was born on July 31, 1978 in Madison, WI to Steven and Victoria (Kunik) Gunter. After graduating from Montague High School in 1996, she attended the University of Michigan where she formed lasting friendships and became a hardcore fan of all things maize and blue. Nikki was a lover of books, movies and she was always up to playing games. Nikki was a dedicated employee of Heartland Home Mortgage, where she worked as a loan processor for 15 years. She was a confident, witty and outgoing woman who cherished family and friends, particularly her nieces and nephew. She is survived by her father, Steve Gunter; brothers, Ben (Kayce) Gunter and Tim (Alicia) Gunter; nieces, Lexie, Tessa and Blakely; nephew, Grayer and lifelong friend, Lisa McCabe. Her mother, Vicki Gunter, precedes her in death. Due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak concerning social distancing, private family services will be held.
