Nils Einar Bodman's Obituary
Mr. Nils E. Bodman, age 79, passed away July 2, 2012 at the Poppen Residence. He was born on January 27, 1933 in Skaftung, Finland and was raised by his foster mother, Ellen V. Hendrickson. He worked as a foundryman and retired from Mastercast in 1996. Nils was a lifetime member of the Eagles and enjoyed gardening, card playing, politics and was a proud member of the Democratic Party. He is survived by his wife, Berniece, along with 6 children, Edward (Nadji) Bodman, Maria (William) Bartrem, Rebecca (William) Meggs, Zakery (Stephanie) Bodman, Taya Thomas and Deborah Thomas; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann Marie Abro and Britta (Lars) Aspholm and brother, Bror Grankull. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11 AM Friday, July 6, 2012 at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. The family strongly recommends donations to Harbor Hospice or American Cancer Society. Burial will take place at E. Hesperia Cemetery.
