Nina Joyce Thrower's Obituary
Nina J. Thrower, age 62, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025 at Trinity Health-Muskegon Campus. She was born October 20, 1962 to Richard and Earline (Barnes) Morgan, in Muskegon, MI. She remained a lifelong resident of the area. Nina was a 1980 graduate of Muskegon High School and went on to work as a CNC https://Machinist.She was a devoted/hard worker who loved her coworkers. Nina had a very strong personality that many confused with being mean, however, she was just a realist. Nina worked for companies such as Gerber, L3 Communications, Bosch/ Diesel Tech, Haworth and Howmet Aerospace. She retired after over 40 years of employment. For over 30 years, Nina dedicated her time and efforts to being a faithful member and usher, serving as head usher for many years, at Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Church.
Nina married the love of her life, Lloyd Thrower, on October 28,1995. They spent 30 loving years making memories together. Nina loved her family dearly and enjoyed making sure others felt loved and cared for. She was known as the “Muskegon High School Mom,” she took care of her football and basketball family. Nina was an avid reader who enjoyed getting lost in a good book, baking with love and shopping with a keen sense of style. She was one to make sure everyone was taken care of and would often give money and never hesitated to purchase things herself. She was known as a person you could talk to and trust, without judgement being passed, but she would also get you together. She believed in showing up on time, prepared, and with purpose. Being early wasn’t just a habit, it was a reflection of her respect for others and a practice that she modeled. If you were lucky enough to have known her, you were loved by her.
