Nina G. DeWind's Obituary
Mrs. Nina G. DeWind, age 92, passed away Tuesday evening, December 15, 2009. She was born March 13, 1917 to Paul and Kate (Schuitema) DeLong, Sr. in N. Muskegon, and was a life resident. Nina worked as a legal secretary for Muskegon County for several years before retiring, was a member of Fifth Reformed Church, and the Ladies Circle of the church. On August 11, 1944 she married Dirk H. “Dick” DeWind in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death on July 3, 1989. SURVIVORS include 1 son, Craig (Brenda) DeWind of Muskegon; 5 granddaughters, Melissa (Marc) Medendorp of Muskegon, Rachel DeWind of LosAngeles, CA, Carissa DeWind of Grand Haven, Heidi DeWind of Muskegon, Breanna DeWind of Muskegon; 2 great-grandchildren, Auebre Johnson and Melia Medendorp; 1 brother, Paul DeLong of Muskegon; 1 sister-in-law, Verna DeLong of Muskegon. She was also preceded in death by 4 brothers, Wesley, Thomas, William, and Robert DeLong; 3 sisters, Bertha Snow, Mary Friesema, and Catherine Vanderlaan. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Saturday at
