Nora J. Yonkman's Obituary
Mrs. Nora J. Yonkman, age 67, went to be with her Lord, and husband, Frank, in heaven, Thursday morning, March 25, 2004, in Muskegon. She was born October 18, 1936 in Seymour, Indiana to Acie & Ruth Mitchell and as a young lady moved to the Muskegon area where she has since lived. Nora was an active member of Fifth Reformed Church where she spent many hours in the kitchen serving others. On October 2, 1953 she married Frank A. Yonkman and he preceded her in death on May 13, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sharon. SURVIVORS include 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, Greg (Rhonda) Yonkman of Phoenix, AZ and their daughters, Jennifer & Stephanie Yonkman & Reina Fragosa; Cindy (Glenn) Wiersema of Fremont, MI and their daughters, Kelly (P.J.) Baker, Amy (Tom) Fles & Jill (Steve) Davis; Steve (Anita) Yonkman of Fruitport and their daughter Darcie; Jeff (Brenda) Yonkman of Muskegon and their children Cori & Adam; Kevin (Gina) Yonkman of Ft. Wayne, IN and their children, Jordan & Brendan; 3 brothers, Danny, Billy & John Mitchell; 4 sisters, Phyllis Wade, Nancy Talley, Sally Navarette and Diane Hammaker; and by her many friends at Fifth Church. SERVICES will be 3PM Saturday at Fifth Reformed Church (2330 Holton Rd.) the Rev. Norman Swier officiating. Burial will be in East Dalton-Oakhill Cemetery. VISITATION will be 5-8PM Friday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Avenue, 231-726-5210 and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. MEMORIAL GIFTS to the Fifth Reformed Church Memorial Fund will be appreciated.
