Nora K. "Katie" (Pollack) Romans' Obituary
Mrs. Nora K. “Katie” Romans, age 92, passed away Friday, August 6, 2010 at William Beaumont Hospital in Grosse Pointe, MI. Katie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. She was born October 13, 1917 in Walnut Ridge, AR to O. Oll Berte and Nora (Elks) Pollack and lived in the Muskegon area most of her life. On April 6, 1944, she married Volney L. Romans in St. Charles, MO and he preceded her in death on December 9, 1987. Katie was a member of Muskegon Church of Christ. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Toney (Donna) Romans of Muskegon, Joan (Bobby) Lambdin of Warren, and Nancy (Michael) Filipiak of Spring Lake; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Lee Romans in 1948. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with Rev. William Burgess officiating. VISITATION with Katie’s family will be 5-8 PM Monday and one hour prior to the service, 10-11 AM Tuesday.
