Norbert "Ed" Luick's Obituary
Norbert E. Luick, age 75, passed away on July 22, 2015. Norbert was born on March 27, 1940 to Duard and Lucille Luick. He was a captain in the U.S. Army, earning the Bronze Star in Vietnam. In 1970 he married the former Sally Tomorsky and together they were blessed with 2 children. Norbert worked at Sun Chemical for many years, working his way up to superintendent before his retirement in the early 2000’s. He was a member of the Viking Linne’ Lodge #57, VFW Post 8846, and the American Legion. Norbert enjoyed golfing, fishing, reading and cooking, but first and foremost was his family. He was a loving, spirited, strong-willed man who will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife Sally; children, Zack (Mae Drzyzga) Luick and Thaddeus (Amanda Lynn) Luick; grandchildren, Summer, Tristan, Keegan, Christian and Autumn; sisters, Luanne Luick and Patricia Hamilton; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. A MEMORIAL MASS will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday July 28, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 E Summit Ave. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the start of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Harbor Hospice or Wounded Warriors Project. A special thanks is extended to the doctors and nurses at Mercy ICU, ER and 4E, as well as the staff at the Poppen Residence. Arrangements are being handled by The Lee Chapel, 6291 S.
