Norbert W. Scholle Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Norbert W. Scholle Jr., age 79, passed away on November 13, 2024, of natural causes. Born in Waco, Texas, Norbert moved to Muskegon, Michigan, as a young child, where he developed a lifelong love of the outdoors, especially fishing and spending time at the family cabin. A proud U.S. Army veteran, he served as a paratrooper and later dedicated time to volunteering with disabled veterans, helping them experience the joy of outdoor activities and hunting. A skilled master plumber by trade, Norbert took pride in his work. Known for his kindness, humor, and easy smile, he loved cooking and took great pleasure in making those around him laugh and feel cared for. He is survived by his two children, Lydia Scholle-Cotton (and her spouse, Dr. Christopher Cotton) and Dr. Christopher Rogalla (and his spouse, Hanna Rogalla); two grandchildren, Anna and Clark Cotton; and three siblings, Lydia K. Scholle, Jacqueline S. Jones, and Theodore F. Scholle. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd, Muskegon, MI 49441.
