Mrs. Norma H. DeCoster's Obituary
Mrs. Norma H. DeCoster, age 93, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Mrs. DeCoster was born November 25, 1919 to Samuel and Delores (Hoyt) MacKenzie in Muskegon. She was married to Fred DeCoster and he preceded her in death in 1982. Norma was a former member of Oakwood Wesleyan Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher. She was employed as a cook for Orchard View Public Schools for 19 years prior to her retirement in 1986. Norma was an exceptional mother; the best mom two boys could ever hope for. Her SURVIVORS include her sons, Jerry (Anita) DeCoster of Arizona and Daniel (Rosemary) DeCoster of Muskegon; her granddaughter, Debbie; grandsons, David and Ryan; great-granddaughter, Ursula; great-grandsons, Anthony, Christian and Gus; brother, Frank MacKenzie of Muskegon; sister-in-law, Denise Wiegand; and several nieces and nephews. Norma was preceded in death by her grandson, Bret DeCoster; sister, Gwen Ward; and brother, Herbert; and sisters-in-law, Virginia and Margaret.
