Mrs. Norma A. Garvey's Obituary
Mrs. Norma A. Garvey, age 82, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 in Muskegon. She was born on January 16, 1934 to Christopher and Viola (Cousineau) Carmean and was a lifelong resident of Muskegon. She was married to Harley Junior Garvey on October 13, 1951 and he preceded her in death in 2006. Norma worked as a custodian for the Orchard View Public School System for over 25 years. She very much enjoyed her “Cove” family where she lived, but first and foremost was the love of her own family. SURVIVORS include her daughters, Jeannie Tenbrink and Deborah (Larry) Bisson; son, Rodney Garvey; 9 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brother, Frank (Ann) Carmean; sister, Marylou (Simon) Tenbrink; and son-in-law, Allen Tenbrink. Norma was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Tenbrink; daughter-in-law, Eugenia Garvey; and her son-in-law Buz Tenbrink. MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 5, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231)798-1100, with Rev. Carlos Ramos officiating. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the service (10:00 AM until 11:00 AM). MEMORIAL contributions may be directed to the Norma A. Garvey Memorial Fund or The American Diabetes Association.
