Norma M. Graim's Obituary
Norma Mae Graim, age 96, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2018. She was born on November 26, 1921 to Henry and Julia (Albers) Benn in Ord, NE. She worked as the senior citizen center director in Escanaba, MI., medical librarian in Traverse City, MI., and as an executive secretary at Albion College in Albion, MI. Norma enjoyed sewing, oil painting, playing cribbage and decoupage. She belonged to the women’s circle, Entre Nous, at First United Methodist in Albion. On August 29, 1945 she married Ted B. Graim and he preceded her in death on September 5, 1972. Norma is survived by her children, Susan C. Graim (Calvin Chin) of Chicago, IL., Nannette (Thomas) Emmer of Muskegon, Timothy (Susan D.) Graim of Denver, CO. and Thomas Graim (Jane Schmidt) of Ft. Collins, CO.; grandchildren, Lew Way Chin and Jessamine Chin (John W. Jordan), Brian (Laura) Emmer and Christine Emmer Johnson (Andrew Johnson), Samuel Graim (Danielle Worthman) and Tyler Graim (Tara LeMasters) and Ehrin Graim, Mica Graim (Jeffrey Turley) and Kiley Graim (James Cahill); four great-grandchildren with two more on the way; sister, Carol Johnson of Evansville, IN; brother-in-law, Paul Zimmerman of King, WI; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jack (Mary) Graim of Kansas City, MO. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harold Benn; and sisters, Ruth Clawson and Clarice Zimmerman. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
