Dear family and loved ones of Norma,
We were deeply saddened to hear of Norma’s passing. Please accept our heartfelt condolences.
Norma had a gentle strength and warmth that we will never forget. When we traveled all the way from the Netherlands to Muskegon for Wendy and Norbert’s wedding, she welcomed us like family. We had just arrived, weary from travel, and yet Norma made us feel right at home; like we belonged. Her hospitality and kindness were truly touching.
That day, I stood proudly beside Norbert as his best man, and I remember looking at Norma during the ceremony; her eyes full of pride and love for her daughter.
And what amazed me over the years was how Norma continued to think of us, even across the ocean. Every Christmas, without fail, she sent us a card. That simple, faithful gesture meant so much; it reminded us that kindness, thoughtfulness, and connection can travel across any distance.
We are grateful to have known Norma, and we will remember her with warmth, respect, and fondness.
With sympathy,
Martijn and Leonie
