Norma A. Oppenheim's Obituary
Norma A. Oppenheim, age 89 passed away in Muskegon surrounded by family on Monday, May 17, 2010 following a short illness. Norma was born on April 12, 1921 in Almont, MI, the daughter of Ross Washer Braidwood and Mabel Cochrane. She graduated from Almont High School and Cleary College. Norma married her high school sweetheart, Carl Joseph Oppenheim on January 5, 1942 and lived in Howell, MI where they raised their four children. Norma retired from the medical offices of Drs. Hill, Barton and Pollock and the McPherson Health Center in Brighton. Norma spent her retirement years living in Bradenton, FL where she enjoyed golf, manhattans and times spent with her many friends. Norma was preceded in death by: her parents; an infant sister; husband, Carl (1998); son, Lee Oppenheim (2008) and a granddaughter, Marnye Oppenheim (2003). She is SURVIVED BY: two daughters, Carol (Bill) Chaddock of Spring Lake, MI and Julie (Ron) Haske of Portage, MI; son, Paul (Wanda) Oppenheim of Penn Valley, CA; grandchildren, Julie Chaddock, Carla Minor, Chris Oppenheim, Carl Haske, Brian Haske; great-grandchildren, Sarah & Josephine Minor, Conor Oppenheim and Howie Ashey. The MEMORIAL MASS will be held at: Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Imlay City, MI, 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 21, 2010. The family will begin receiving guest one hour prior to the Mass. Memorial Contributions: American Heart Association. She will be laid to rest in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Imlay City.
