Norman E. Eadie's Obituary
Norman E. Eadie age 85, of Conklin died Wednesday, May 4, 2011 surrounded by his loving family.
Norman was born on March 18, 1926 in Muskegon Heights, Michigan to the late Ernest and Minna (Schultz) Eadie. He married Pearl E. (Laman) Eadie on August 18, 1950 in Conklin, Michigan and she preceded him in death on April 29, 2010.
Norman was a lifelong farmer. He had been a member of the Ravenna Livestock 4-H Club, and loved to fish, camp and hunt. He did most of his own carpentry. He loved to sing and had been a member of the Shubert Club. He enjoyed trying his hand at landscape painting. He loved his family and enjoyed being a father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Norman is survived by 1 Daughter: Anna McMillan of Greenfield, Indiana; 3 Sons: Arden (Geraldine) Eadie, Norlin (Carol) Eadie and Carl (Brenda) Eadie, all of Conklin; 15 Grandchildren; 8 Great-Grandchildren and I Sister-in-Law Doris Eadie. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl; Sisters Myrna (Bud) Lawrence and Leta (Marion) Thompson; Brother Harold Eadie and Son In-Law, David McMillan.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 11:00am at the First Reformed Church in Ravenna with Rev. Tony DeLaRosa officiating. Burial will be at McNitt Cemetery.
The family will be at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna on Sunday, May 8, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00pm & 6:00 to 8:00pm to receive friends and at the church 1 hour prior to services.
Memorials may be directed to the Ravenna Livestock 4-H Club.
