Mr. Norman D. Pfister's Obituary
Mr. Norman D. Pfister, 84, passed away August 22, 2020 in Muskegon. Norm was born August 27, 1935 to Frank and Eloise (Armstrong) Pfister in Petoskey, and lived most of his life in the Muskegon area. He had worked at Northwestern Auto Supply, Barber Boyd Ford, and other auto supply stores before retiring, and was a U.S Army veteran. He was a member of Sheridan Drive Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and served in countless other ways. He was also involved with Prison Ministry, enjoyed bowling, traveling and camping. Most of all he loved his family. On June 21, 1957 Norm married Shirley A. Scanlon, and she survives him along with 2 children, Michael (Valarae) Pfister, Deanna (Vincent) Malenfant; 7 grandchildren, Andrew (Jenn) Malenfant, Andrew Stair, Aaron (Ashley) Malenfant, KaTrena (Christian Fulljames) Malenfant, Valaine (Elijah Perry) Pfister, Sullivan (Lexi Gutierrez) Malenfant, Moriah Pfister; 5 great-grandchildren, Emma, Palmer, Uriah, Gibson, Alice. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 29, at 11:00 AM at the Sheridan Drive Baptist Church, 84 S. Sheridan Dr., Muskegon, 49442. Visitation and refreshments will take place after the service. Contributions in memory of Mr. Pfister may be made to the family.
