Odis Donnell Ross' Obituary
Odis Donnell “Knuckle Head/ Pac Man” Ross, age 74, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025, at Trinity Health – Muskegon Hospital. He was born January 26, 1951, in Muskegon to Carvin and Pearlie Burt and lived most of his life in the area. Pac Man was self-employed in the custodial and janitorial field for many years. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and they will long remember his “inspirational” speeches that he loved to give. Pac Man was a jazz listener and avid sports fan of football and basketball. He also owned “Big O” BBQ while living in Atlanta, GA for a few years. Survivors include 2 children, Lorenzo M. “Moe” Mitchell, Sr., Alicia Brooks Lyke; stepdaughter, Debra Hill; 2 daughters-in-law, LaQuitta Williams, Vivian McBride; his grandchildren, Demario Collins, Lorenzo Mitchell Jr., Myron Mitchell, Angel Brooks, La Taiy’Jah Mitchell, La Tanj’Niq Mitchell, La Tre’Viah Mitchell, Beyonce Mitchell Feliciana Castellanos; his great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Amaria, Justin, Alayah, Royalty, Khi’Ayre, Khi’Ayrie, Ro’Monee, Darius Jr, Logan, Majesty, Khi’Yomi, Angel, Da'Maire, Alaya; 1 brother, Ferris Hall; 2 sisters, Dorothy(Ross) Tippins, Shelley McCrae; nieces and nephews, Curtis Ross, Myra Ross, Tiera Ross, Desiree Ross, Deira Ross, Ebony Hall, Marilyn (Carl) Armour; 6 great nephews and 2 great nieces. Pac Man was preceded in death by his parents, and father, James Ross; brothers, Melvin R. Ross, James “Jimmy” Ross and William “Curtis” Ross; sister, Marilyn “Rabbit” Ross Norman; brothers-in-law, Otis Tippins and Rev. Walt McCrae; 2 special aunts, Mayola “Big Auntie” Hall, Margarete “Granny” Clay-Dolpha; and his uncle, Andrew Harris; niece, Tivine Ross; twin, Infant Ross.
