Oliva L. Scarbrough's Obituary
Mrs. Oliva L. Scarbrough, age 79, passed away Friday afternoon July 27, 2007. She was born on March 23, 1928 to Emanuel A. and Nora E. (Masters) Joyce in Malden, MO. She had worked at Scott Paper Company (Sappi) as an inspector prior to her retirement in 1990. On July 11, 1974 she married Eugene R. Scarbrough in Muskegon. SURVIVORS include her husband, Eugene; 2 children, Olivia “Dee” (Dick) Fellows and Sammy Rush; 2 step-daughters, Patricia (Gary) Garn and Gail (Ted) Pastoor; 1 step-son, Lester (Kathy) Scarbrough; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 1 brother, Jack Joyce and 2 sisters, Lillian Gammon and Lina Franks and by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Scarbrough was preceded in death by her parents and 14 brothers and sisters. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 11AM Tuesday July 31, 2007 at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Monday (tonight). BURIAL will take place in Norton Cemetery. MEMORIALS to the American Heart or Lung Association would be appreciated.
