Mr. Orrin Edward Ames, age 92, went home to heaven on Friday, September 19, 2003. He was born July 11, 1911 in Honor, MI, and moved to the Montague area from Kent City 30 years ago. He worked at Teledyne Continental Motors for over 30 years before retiring, and prior to that worked for the State of Michigan. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and farming, and carpenter work. On September 5, 1933 he married Eleanor Challender, and they just celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. SURVIVORS include his wife Eleanor; 3 children, Kaye Arnold of CO, Richard (Judy) Ames of WI, Linda (Gary) Frank of SC; 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Eleanor McWilliams in 1969, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. SERVICES will be 1:30 PM Tuesday at
