Mr. Orville Budd, age 76, passed away at his home on Wednesday morning, February 27, 2013. He was a life time resident of Muskegon, born August 13, 1936 to Rolla and Helen (Whalen) Budd. Orville received his education at Orchard V Read Obituary

My husband Bob and Orville worked at the Sheriff Dept. together. Bob had great respect for Orville and his open, honest demeanor. After retirement Bob always enjoyed seeing Orville when they would attend the "monthly breakfast". I knew Orville as a very kind, soft spoken man. Grace, I pray our good Lord will wrap his arms around all you folks and give you comfort and peace during this heartbreaking time.

I remember Orv from when I was just a small girl, he was a policeman for Muskegon Township my Dad was fire chief then, James L Carlisle, and Orv used to pick me up over his shoulder and say he was gonna have me ride with him in his patrol car, I never did, but he would always tease me, and I was probably around 10 at the time, he had the tourquoise blue and white car at that time. At my Dad's funeral back in 1989 it was raining and Orv came over to where I was standing, and took off his trench coat and put it over my shoulders, I drowned in that coat, but I felt like a million dollars as Orv was always a special person. I saw Orv about 4 years ago out for breakfast at Nino's with a few of his friends, I remembered some of their names from my Dad... I went right up and introduced myself, and my husband to him, he remembered me, but didn't recognize me.. and we visited for a few minutes, he was indeed a very special man, and he will be missed by many people.
