Orville Bruce "Butch" Washburn's Obituary
Mr. Orville Bruce “Butch” Washburn, age 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2024 in Norton Shores. Butch was born in Grant, Michigan on December 4, 1945 to Orville and Mildred (Harper) Washburn. Butch had been employed in Janitorial Services at Good Will Industries and was a member of their “Good Willies” bowling league. Butch enjoyed conversations with people and was never afraid to introduce himself to a stranger. He enjoyed trains, loved babies, always had a smile on his face, and cherished his family. He is survived by several nieces and nephews including special niece and guardian, Vicki (Vince) Arends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 11 brothers and seven sisters. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Monday, June 24, 2024 at Broadway Baptist Church, 2860 Oak Lane, Muskegon, MI 49444, with Pastor Jeremy Baxter officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Grant, MI.
