Mr. Otto K. Hopma Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Otto K. Hopma, 91, passed away Tuesday morning. Born February 20, 1920 to Lambert and Nela (Kweekman) Hopma, he was a life resident of the Muskegon area. On January 31, 1941 he married the former Grayce Vriesman, and she survives him. Otto was a US Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of Don Rea Post 8846 VFW. He was also a member of Community United Methodist Church of No. Muskegon, and former member of Fifth Reformed Church. Otto was employed at Wagoner Transportation 35 years prior to retiring. SURVIVORS include his wife, Grayce; children: Jerry (Carol) Hopma of North Muskegon, Byron (Johanna) Hopma of Libertyville, IL, Paula (Jim) Seastrom and Otto (Brenda) Hopma Jr. both of No.Muskegon, and Renee (Greg) DeVries of Belaire, FL; 24 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. FUNERAL SERVICES with Full Military Rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Community United Methodist Church, 1614 Ruddiman Dr., N. Muskegon, with Rev. Robert Lynch officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service (10-11 AM) Saturday at the Church. Interment will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to Community United Methodist Church Sound System would be appreciated.
