Pamela J. (Parsons) Allen's Obituary
Pamela J (Parsons) Allen passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, following a 20 plus year battle with a very rare spinal cord disease, which rendered her paralyzed from the chest down. She was born in San Bernadino CA, and her parents, MaryAnn (Wheeler) Parsons and Arthur L Parsons, moved the family to Michigan at a very young age, eventually settling in Nunica where she met the love of her life, Jack H Allen Jr. Pam and Jack were married in 1977, and had three children, Jack H Allen III, Stacy M. Allen and Keith (Bo) Allen. Following seven years of bouncing around the globe as her husband served in the U.S. Army Military Police Corp. the family finally settled down and raised their children in the Grand Haven area. Pam spent 10+ years working at Michigan Plastic Products, followed by several years at Town and Country Dry Cleaners. Pam very much enjoyed line dancing, in fact she gave instructions regularly at the old Dukes Dance Hall and Saloon in Muskegon, before taking ill in 2004. Pam was very well cared for at home by her husband and children, until she just became too weak to fight this disease any longer. It was her wish to be cremated and in place of a funeral service, requested that all gather and celebrate the life she DID have, rather than mourn her death, so a Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the near future. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, her older sister, and her younger brother. Pam is survived in her death by her husband of 48+ years, three children and seven grandchildren.
